HELL HOLE OF KORORAREKA
Anniversary Weekend – 28th and 29th January 2018
The new year has dawned and the residents of Russell are once again raising hell!! That is to say the usually quaint, charming village in the Bay of Islands is bringing back to life the days when Kororareka was known as the “Hell Hole of the Pacific.”
Street theatre at its best as Russell becomes alive again featuring local sailors, traders, whalers, wharfies, wenches, rascals and reprobates. For a taste of what to expect, click here to read the latest tales of debauchery from the Hell Hole Herald.
Getting there: Car – Fullers Great Sights Ferry – boarding in Opua to Okiato then 9kms to Russell. Food: Three regular ferries per hour departing from Paihia to Russell.
Performance times to be advised.
